I haven't been updating as much as I'd like to because of the workload I've got with school and a full time job. Ideally I'd rather not work so much, but I can't complain I guess. We went to Glen Canyon the other day during class time and honed in on a spot to observe people and the activity around the area. I love how Glen Canyon feels so separate from everything you'd think San Francisco is. I felt like I was in a different place, surrounded by trees, rocks, Islais creek and the rest of it. I was looking around for references to the creek's past, like the amusement park that used to be there and historical houses. I e-mailed Richard Craib who's listed as the contact for "Friends of Glen Canyon Park" and for information about volunteer work and walks. I'm hoping to hear back from him soon to set up a possible interview about the area and do some more research on the history.
